DJ Vermani has music running through his veins. His journey began early, starting formal tabla training and musical education in 2004 in Surrey.
 
By just six years old, he was already experimenting with DJing on Virtual DJ at his cousin’s computer, laying the foundation for a lifelong obsession with sound. In 2009, he joined the BC Boys Choir, further refining his musicality and vocal discipline.
 
A year later, in 2010, he performed with the choir at the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Paralympics—a defining moment that solidified his connection to live performance.

By 2014, DJ Vermani was playing tabla professionally across numerous religious ceremonies and intimate mehfils, grounding himself deeply in rhythm and tradition. In 2015, he expanded his percussion range by studying dhol under respected teachers Gurp Sian and Rayman Bhuller, adding high-energy Punjabi folk elements to his skillset.

DJ Vermani has been entertaining for as long as he can remember, continuously exploring and mastering different musical crafts. His easygoing and incredibly engaging style reflects a genuine love for both people and music.

His approach is theatrical yet unobtrusive. An entertainer by heart, choice, and trade, he is constantly thinking about his next set—even when he’s off the decks. You’ll catch him grooving, fully immersed, and working closely with couples to create the perfect celebratory atmosphere.

His musical style is rooted in storytelling—seamlessly weaving and mashing tracks to surprise, connect, and move the crowd. He takes the time to understand each celebration, aligning his sets with the energy, emotion, and priorities of the moment.

His philosophy is simple: everyone will dance when they hear the right song. “I love creating energy for any celebration. My favourite moments are bringing emotion onto the dance floor and reminding people why they’re celebrating.”
