Meet Gurnoor Bedwal, or widely known as DJ Element. One of the newer members on the team, DJ Element always had a passion of music growing up and eventually took on DJing in 2019.

Being raised in Surrey, BC his whole life, DJ Element has absorbed the Punjabi/Indian culture that has been around him from a young age. With a decorated bhangra background, he grew up listening to the likes of Surjit Bindrakhia, Kuldeep Manak, Jazzy B, and the Safri Bros. He is also an old-school Bollywood movie phanatic and would pass up on watching Shrek for Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gaam. But as he grew up, he started listen to all kinds of genres such as hip-hop, rap, R&B and EDM. Becoming a "bedroom DJ," he bought his first turntables at 17 and began to learn the craft of a disc jockey. His first crack at making music was making the mixes for his bhangra team's routine.

After joining the Aftershock team in 2020, DJ Element has become a fast growing name in the DJing industry and has done numerous event all across the country. With amazing mentors in DJ Aftershock, DJ Daula and DJ Tigertronik, DJ Element has been able to integrate multiple different styles and become a well-rounded talent. Carrying a broad music taste, DJ Element can turn your party into a rave or a Bollywood music video.

Having being one of the newest members on the Aftershock team, DJ Element has mastered the craft of lighting up any venue he has been a part of. His humor and bubbly personality is great on the microphone and does not rest until everyone is jumping with their hands high in the air. As the new season is around the corner, look out for DJ Element to fully establish himself in the DJing world.
